Children (6-18): €4
Children (0-5): FREE (Please note, that the visit on average lasts at least 45-60 minutes so we advise parents to bring along a pushchair or baby carrier. The site has a few buildings and trenches that are not easily accessible with a pushchair, but the majority are. We can provide you with a map with an accessible route.)
Persons with disabilities : FREE (Please note, that the site has a few buildings and trenches that are not wheelchair accessible, but the majority are. We can provide you with a map with a wheelchair accessible route.)
Groups (10+ people): €5 per person
Dogs: You are more than welcome to take your dog around the Battery for free. It’s a good, long walk for them, and a lot better than leaving them in your car during your visit, especially on warm days. If needed, we can provide some water for them.
For the safety of others as well as your dog, please keep them on a lead at all times and please pick up after your pet. There are litter bins around the Battery where you can dispose of the bagged waste.
TOUR GUIDES IN NORMANDY:
Our advice is to go to both Maisy and Pointe du Hoc on your visit. You cannot fully understand the role of Maisy in the defence of Normandy – without understanding the role that Pointe du Hoc played.
If you spend your money wisely on books and guided tours, you will get more out of your Normandy experience. Ask your tour company if they visit Maisy Battery – if not, we can recommend some that do. There are a number around – but here are two guides that we can personally vouch for. You can have our assurance that their tours are top quality and we have no hesitation in recommending them to you.
Remember – it is YOUR trip to Normandy… make it your own.
PRIVATE TOURS OF MAISY:
We also offer personalised tours of the battery. If you are interested in taking one of our tours of Maisy, please get in touch with us. We will be happy to show you around the Maisy site and discuss Pointe du Hoc and the Rangers’ involvement in the D-Day landings.
We have regular visits from school groups who are staying in the area. More and more British schools are learning about Maisy and what it has to offer to their students. It is a truly unique opportunity to explore German bunkers and trenches, go into lit bunkers and tunnels if they want too – and get close too and touch real WWII field guns – in a safe and secure site.
