Our advice is to go to both Maisy and Pointe du Hoc on your visit. You cannot fully understand the role of Maisy in the defence of Normandy without understanding the role that Pointe du Hoc played.
If you spend your money wisely on books and guided tours, you will get more out of your Normandy experience. Ask your tour company if they visit Maisy Battery – if not, we can recommend some that do. There are a number of them around, but here are two guides that we can personally vouch for.
